Stiles Vortex and Outfall Pipe

Project Description: Located on the banks of the Mississippi River, Stiles Wastewater Treatment Plant was creating a large amount of foam float that the City of Memphis wanted to reduce. Malouf worked with Overland Contracting to design and build a vortex structure on an existing outfall line. The design included a large amount of challenging concrete work as well as pipe to allow the plant to discharge at a lower elevation.
