Jackson, Mississippi
Project Type: Civil
Project Description: Plagued by chronic flooding and an aging road system, Capital City Beverages reached out to Malouf to provide design-build services for much needed improvements to their distribution facility in Jackson, Mississippi. Partnering with McMaster & Associates for civil design and working with the City of Jackson to remedy offsite drainage issues, a design was developed to improve drainage and keep the facility dry. Burns Cooley Dennis, Inc. was hired to provide pavement design to support the heavily-loaded trucks on top of the infamous Yazoo clay soil found at the site.
Our scope of work included design coordination, clearing, demolition, storm drain installation, lime stabilization, stone base, cast-in-place retaining walls, dock equipment installation, and new heavy duty concrete pavement.
